About Community
Loyalty isn’t what it used to be. Loyal employees were disappointed
with corporate responses to the need for increased profits. The
object of our loyalty is now our professions. In the New Economy,
loyalty is more of a two-way street.
Professions have developed close relationships with associations,
colleagues and institutions. We have become communities representing
our respective professions. Third millennium language describes
these groups of groups of highly skilled individual members that
are segmented by talents, skills, and interests as talent communities.
“One-way street” seems to be an apt metaphor for second
millennium relationships between a company and the job seeker. In
fact, going the wrong way down a one-way street is probably more
description of the employer/candidate experience. A relationship
with a talent community is much different that having a resume in
a database.
Wilson Smith Associates offers a personal service that fosters
a collaborative partnership with the respective talent communities
that we serve. We believe in two-way
streets: the talent community that we serve is vital to our success
and we are committed to providing a service that is faster,
better and delivers more
value.
